- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a musician since I was 9 (45 yrs ago!) and had always wanted to be a teacher, whether it be Music, Spanish, History, or any other subject that has always interested me. but, life jumped in and i went into another profession before my education was complete. Now, being semi-retired, the opportunity to teach music has resurfaced and I've been able to fully embrace it. But for me, in reality, God stepped in and chose this 'line of work' for me.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I'm very proud of one of my eight-year-old students who has gone from having zero guitar knowledge, to already being able to perform several songs in a relatively short learning time.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
while I believe that my rates are more than fair for the services offered, a client should really look beyond a dollar amount and ask themselves if they can see the potential benefit in choosing the right teaching professional for themselves or for their child.
