FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer both hourly rates and project-based pricing, depending on the scope and complexity of the job. For straightforward tasks, I provide a verbal quote and estimated timeline. For larger or multi-phase projects, I prepare a written quote with a detailed invoice outlining the expected work. Package discounts are available when scheduling multiple sessions in advance. Senior and veteran discounts are also offered. When a formal quote is provided: 50% deposit is due upfront The remaining balance, plus any additional charges, is due at completion For projects lasting over one month, payment plans can be arranged If unexpected challenges arise, I’ll discuss them with you promptly to ensure clarity and alignment. My goal is to deliver high-quality, sustainable results through collaboration, clear communication, and thoughtful planning—whether you're preparing for a move, refreshing a family home, or organizing a creative space.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We’ll start with a brief conversation via phone, text, or email to discuss your needs and schedule a time for an in-person or virtual consultation. During the initial visit, I’ll walk through the space, take notes and photos (with permission), and gather details about your goals, priorities, and preferences. This is a great time to ask questions and clarify expectations. If you're ready, I can begin working during that first session, so you can start seeing progress right away. Organizing sessions are typically 4 to 6 hours long, depending on your needs and availability. Larger projects may require multiple sessions, which we can schedule in advance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring over 15 years of professional experience in organization, systems design, and client-focused service. In 2009, I founded Slipped Stitch Studios, a successful business that provided handcrafted organizational tools for fiber artists and crafters. Over the next decade and a half, I managed every aspect of operations—from streamlined production and team coordination to customer service and space optimization. Before launching my professional organizing business, I spent years organizing for friends, family, and fellow creatives, naturally refining my ability to understand how different people interact with their environments. This hands-on experience taught me that true organization isn’t about perfection—it’s about building systems that are intuitive, sustainable, and tailored to the individual. As a Holistic Home Coach, I now use that skillset to help clients improve not just their physical spaces, but their habits, routines, and overall sense of well-being. My background in creative industries, operational design, and client support allows me to approach every project with both empathy and precision.
