FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not complicated. If my client is not comfortable with the per hour charge, or the job is not appropriate for that type of charge, I can bid a price per job when it comes to larger projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will receive your call, get to know each other and discuss your needs in full. If desired, I would provide samples or photos of previous work. I would then email my contract. Depending on the size of the job, I may require a deposit which will be explained in full on the contract. On meeting, we will both sign contract and I will provide your copy so you have a full understanding of details of the job and cost. I will drive to your location and begin work. On completion and according to the agreed conditions of the contract, I would then expect payment in full. Naturally, on very simple tasks, no contract would be required.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I travel all over the US to classes taking classes for Faux Effects products. I am a member of the International Decorative Artists League and attend their workshops always learning new techniques. Eg, Dallas, TX - September 2014, Faux Finish School in Louisville, KY in June 2014 and other years. Prior classes at Fauxmasters, CA, IDAL convention -Reno, Nevada, IDAL convention, Orlando, Florida and many more.
