Super happy with Dons services. Her work ethic is great. She was super punctual, very friendly and her face paintings were awesome. All of the kids and adults in our party were extremely happy with their face painting. I would 100% recommend her services.Jun 12, 2018Verified
The face painting was a hit! She had great designs and amazing talent. Each child was in the seat no less than min or 2. Very quick designs and amazingly beautiful work!Jul 10, 2018Verified

I was so impressed with Paint-A-Face L.A. We hired her for our Day of the Dead party and she did an amazing job. She showed up on time, was extremely professional and totally got our party theme. I will hire her again in a heartbeat. Since the party, several friends have asked for her contact info so they can hire her for their parties.Mar 10, 2018Verified
Don's work was amazing! She arrived early to set up. I mentioned to her it was a butterfly themed birthday party during our first communication and on the day of the party she had her face painted with a lovely butterfly. Her work was neat and professional. My daughter and her friends were fascinated with Don,s work. The quality of her work well exceeded her price. I will definitely hire her again!Sep 11, 2017
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I accidentally stumbled upon the idea. I'd been watching YouTube videos about investing, when one of the YouTubers started discussing various part-time/weekend jobs to quickly boost your savings. As soon as face painting was mentioned, saving and investing just seemed like secondary benefits of an awesome opportunity. I stopped the video and began researching the idea. I've been drawing and painting for decades, but the idea of face painting never even remotely crossed my mind. I didn't have to give it a second thought. It's a combination of two things that I love, working with children and painting.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Fortunately, my very first gig was a community festival. Successfully working that gig (which seemed like a pure miracle at the time) made me aware of my capabilities as a lone face painter. I've painted for corporate events, camps, community festivals, non-profits/churches, and plenty of birthday parties. To my surprise, the most common has been churches/camps, typically ranging from 25-50 children/teens.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take? One of my favorite projects was working with Big City Moms and their "Biggest Baby Shower Ever-Los Angeles" event. Initially, I was a little intimidated by the projected number of attendees at the expo since I paint alone, but they'd coordinated a few other activities which made the lines of children easily manageable. Although I'd worked gigs with 80+ kids , the BCM event was almost like an epiphany. I went from having to remind myself that "I can do this", to realizing and accepting that "I AM doing this!"
