This review is long overdue. We worked with Dave a few months back and he is fantastic! My husband and I have a 19month old Goldendoodle who has had previous training, puppy training through Petsmart and Petco but none of it compared to the training we received from Dave. He is great at what he does and explains things in a way that make total sense, like why didn't I think of this before?! He uses positive reinforcement training, which was huge for us. Dave works with your schedule and is flexible, he emails you after every session to go over what you've learned and how to continue the training when he's not around. We see a total difference in our dog after having sessions with Dave, we are looking forward to having him back in the near future to continue our training!

Initial consultation only but with that our dog was all over him. Obviously felt very comfortable with him. I like that Dave is a certified dogtrainer. He knows what he’s doing. This gives me confidence in him. His training methods of positive reinforcement clicks with me personally. I’m eager to read all the suggested articles and book and start training.

Dave has been super nice and patient with my dog Lala. I was having issues because I forgot how to train a puppy. He is helping both her and I. He just opened up a great studio for dog daycare in Tustin and Lala loves it. I believe he truly loves what he does and it shows in my dogs response to his training.

I hired 3 dogtrainers, pre COVID shut down, that had no clue what I wanted from a trainer. I am so incredibly grateful to have found Every Dog. Dave is exceptional. from the first day my Border Collie started responding to the training Dave worked with her and the home work he gave us and by the 3rd visit it was not short of miraculous! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
NEW CLIENT SPECIAL: 10% off your first package!
I offer an initial consultation for $79 so we can discuss your concerns, understand your dog’s needs, and identify the best path forward. Individual training sessions are $200, with packages available for ongoing support: 4 sessions for $720 (10% off), 7 for $1,200 (one session free), and 10 for $1,600 (3 sessions free). My recommendations are tailored to your goals and the support you and your dog need, with clear pricing so you can make an informed decision.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a consultation to discuss your dog’s history, your concerns, and what you’d like everyday life together to look like. I look beyond the behavior to understand the emotions, environment, and learning experiences that may be contributing to it. From there, we develop a personalized plan with practical steps you can use at home. During our sessions, I work with both you and your dog, explain why we’re doing each exercise, and adjust our approach as you progress. You’ll receive compassionate guidance without judgment and a clear understanding of what to practice between sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring 17 years of professional dog training experience and am the founder of EveryDog. My work has included puppy development, everyday manners, reactivity, fear, and complex behavioral concerns, along with extensive experience supporting dogs in daycare and boarding environments. My approach is force-free and evidence-based, with an emphasis on canine body language, how dogs learn, emotional well-being, and helping people apply training in everyday situations. That depth of experience helps me adapt to the individual dog and explain the process clearly to the person on the other end of the leash.
