I was in dire straits. I had water damage from the storm on Feb 4th of this year. The HOA of course, drug their feet and between the remediation/restoration company and the contractor, nobody thought to look under the threshold of my door to see if the water had pooled there or not. Before we replaced our carpet, we decided that we might want to look. The floor was spongy and rotten. On a Friday I called a thumbtack handyman who agreed to come and look at it that day. He did not show. On Monday I had another guy come out and he agreed to do the repair on Wednesday. On Tuesday evening, he changed it to Friday. On Wednesday when the weather report was calling for rain on Friday I started to panic. I contacted John and he agreed to come out the next morning. He rebuilt the threshold and sealed it. Replaced the rotten floorboard. Attached the new baseboards and doorway molding. Sealed a hole in the stucco, installed new carpet pad. Installed tack strip that the restoration company had torn out and reattached my carpet. He was done by midday Friday. I would definitely hire him again.
