FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a base price for my services but I also don't limit what people feel they want or need for beauty services. I understand that some clients want something basic and simple, while others may want high end products and treatments-- and I'm lucky to say I work with a spectrum of people-- especially here in Orange County. If you are curious about adding tattoo covering, custom brow tweezing or facials to your services just message me and we can work out a reasonable budget given the work, time and product necessary to meet your needs. When clients book multiple events or services with me, I do give major discounts because I appreciate the extra business and value that loyalty. Every person coming to me instead of going to a MAC counter at the mall supports individual talent and hard work. I appreciate the support from my clients that make my job possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I meet someone new, I like to get to know them a little before I do their makeup because I feel personality has a lot to do with how someone wears their makeup or wants to be seen. Before the fun of the makeup preview, I often start with a short phone conversation to learn a little more about you and find out the details of the event. It helps to know that you jive with someone before just showing up and doing a job. It makes the experience much more personalized and better in my experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained at one of the best makeup schools in California-- Empire Academy of Makeup. I didn't just learn how to do basic hair, basic makeup, and learn some sanitization techniques. Because I valued the artistry and the science behind an amazing makeup application and wanted to really master my craft, I took every course the academy offered, which took 2 years to complete. When I graduated, I dove into the beauty world and took many jobs in print, media, bridal, runway, and television. I say I "specialize" in beauty makeup because I love working with people one on one the most rather than being lost in a production. However, what people don't often realize is that I'm trained and have worked in many styles and mediums of makeup work.
