John was flexible and understanding when I had to reschedule a few times. He's a nice guy. The lesson itself felt informal. John brought a power point and went through a few of the basics (white balance, aperture, shutter speed, ISO). I docked a star because the lesson itself is very pricey for what it's worth; I think I could get more bang for my buck at a group photography class. Also, I had another lesson right after John's, and I kept watching the clock and seeing how the precious minutes were ticking by with small talk and set up (I believe almost fifteen minutes went by before we actually dived in to the lesson itself).
