Wow... Where do I begin? I was deployed to Iraq from 2007 to 2010. Did Intel and loved my team...still talk to every one of those guys to this day. But what we went through, guys at that age shouldn't have to go through. I won't go into the details but there was a miscommunication with our leading officer that led to us detonating an IED...Two of our guys had severely injured legs and the rest of us all took shrapnel injuries to our arms and legs...In 2010 I came back from Iraq... took about 2 years before I was just able to physically function. For those two years though, I couldn't walk and was completely confined to my house. I also replayed every moment that led up to what happened to us and how I had caused so much hurt... Even after I was physically able to move, the next eight years were the worst of it. It got so bad that I had thoughts of ending it... However with the support of my therapist, girlfriend, medication and my team, I was able to at least stay afloat. But I wasn't thriving... Until I met Oleg Simonyan... I played tennis in my younger years but fell away from it after high school. I had been feeling empty and meaningless during these dark years. My therapist had encouraged me to find something that gave me joy. It was a difficult process for a while. Nothing really stuck. One day however I was talking to one member of my team and he had said that he had been having a great time with his tennis coach and that I should give him a try if I was interested. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. I gave him a call and had my first lesson. It was a pleasant first lesson. We worked on my forehand and did some conditioning exercises. We chatted a bit about our lives and then headed home. It was a nice interaction. In the next few months, though, our relationship quickly blossomed both on and off the court. He was my coach for my tournaments but he was also my coach in life. If I had a quarrel with my girlfriend, I called Oleg. If I was beating myself up over my actions in Iraq, I would spend time with Oleg. If I needed something to take my mind off things, I would play chess with Oleg (He taught me chess and plays regularly with his other students.) If my car was in the shop and I needed someone to pick me up, I would call him. Let me be clear, he is not my therapist, but he is a brother, a friend, a mentor, and he is always willing to help. I truly do not know where I would be without Oleg. I thank God every day that he blessed me with him. I am getting married next month and he will be standing beside me when I say "I do".
Oleg, you are a great tennis coach and I could talk about the ways you have helped me become the tennis player I am today. But what has been even more important is the joy and life you have given me. The company, the guidance, the support have been life-changing and I wouldn't be the man, partner, soon-to-be-father(!), and brother without you. I am in debt of you for all you have done.

Coach Oleg is an outstanding high level tennis instructor. His approach to one on one sessions is very professional. As a top level junior competing in California I have had many coaches, but coach Oleg stands out. He has elevated my game tremendously over a short period of time. The quality, approach, and attention to detail of his private lessons is really impressive. I definitely would highly recommend to take lessons with Coach Oleg!

This review is long overdue, I’m so happy to have found Coach Oleg! My family (me, wife, and two kids) have been training with Coach Oleg for over 4 years. Coach Oleg is extremely passionate, experience, and professional. He’s helped my kids train and make it on to high school varsity team. My wife and I are also playing the best we’ve ever played! Thank you so much Coach Oleg!!

I felt heart behind the coaching that I received from Oleg. He has a long history of playing tennis and has fostered great passion for this sport. He has been able to teach my family and friends to play casual to professional level. I highly recommend! Moreover, I appreciated how Coach Oleg really cares and wants his students to improve and become their best on and off the court.

Oleg is a top tier coach! His experience, knowledge, and professionalism has helped my tennis improve better than any other coach I’ve ever trained with (I’ve trained with a lot for reference). So happy to have found him and am excited to continue my training with him! I’ve also referred a bunch of my friends and they’re really happy with him! :)
