Makenzie is a literal magician. I have not met a more thoughtful, intelligent, and hard working trainer in my 10 years as a dog owner. My 2 year old doodle had pretty bad anxiety which resulted in severe reactivity to other dogs. I thought he was a lost cause after working with him myself and trying to go to a few other trainers. I was getting really frustrated and needed a solution. Makenzie was that solution. I was initially nervous about sending my dog to a three week board and train but Makenzies updates really helped me feel good through the process. When I saw how confident my dog was when he came back to me I knew I made the right choice. The way my dog responds to Makenzie and the way he is excited to see her at Saturday class ensures me that my dog was treated with the best care when he was away.The commands Makenzie teaches are basic, but I learned that they are all you need to have a well behaved dog. Now I can walk me dog in peace without him lunging, barking, or making a scene. I take him everywhere with me and he just trots along by my side. At restaurants he lays down with no fuss. I take him to enclosed parks to play ball and he recalls away from distractions , no problem. He has way more freedom because I trust him and I trust the training Makenzie did with him.I get endless complements about how well behaved my dog is when I take him out.Makenzie is dedicated to the bond between you and your dog and any regression they might have. She will work with your to create a game plan for you to maintain the training she does with your dog. Makenzie is worth every penny. I was recommended Peak Performance dog training and decided to sign up my 6 month old Ridgeback for the 2 week boot camp.. my dog came home completely transformed. I cant believe what Makenzie and her team accomplished in such a short time. Had my dog Zoro trained at Peak Performance with Makenzie and he has really learned to behave. I chose Peak Performance because of the in house training and their training style. My dog loves the trainers and loves the group classes every Saturday that gives us additional tips and tricks to how to keep developing good behaviors. Worth every penny

Our puppy, Betsy, was 4 months old when we rescued her after some very harsh circumstances. She was legitimately out of control. She nipped us incessantly, did not listen, we could not take her on an effective walk she pulled hard and would pick up debris constantly. No matter how forcefully we tried to change her behavior, we could not do so extremely frustrating and disappointing.We tried a couple of private treat-based training sessions with Makenzie and it was obvious our girl needed a more focused program.Makenzie had her for the 4 week Platinum Board and train. Betsy came back an entirely different dog!She is obedient!! She is crate-trained. She heel walks. She holds the commands of sit, down and place and will come on command!Makenzie is fantastic. She is an extremely diligent coach, a wonderful and skillful (very direct) communicator and is firm, but very compassionate, with the animal. Our puppy loves Auntie Mak. This lady is all business and has the perfect edge to make your dog the companion that you hoped for. Finally, she stays with you after the Board and Train and makes sure that you effectively execute the process. She is committed to making sure that your dog will not regress.We are so happy that we chose Makenzie and we are confident that you will be too.
