Friendly, engaging, perceptive, responsive, supportive teacher who made learning fun, effective and relaxing and who exhibited warmth and encouragement all the time. Tayler made easy what was new for us. Her choreography for a bride-groom dance and a mother-son dance was creative and perfectly matched our style interests and abilities. We could not have been happier with the entire experience or the results- it’s a delight to watch and re-watch our videos of the dances and our guests’ happy wide-eyed smiles and cheers, and we will always cherish these moments that Tayler made possible for us! Tayler is AMAZING! My fiancé at the time and I decided to take a couple dancelessons prior to our wedding just so we didn't look completely awkward during our first dance. And when I say prior to our wedding... I mean 1 week prior haha. Tayler took on the challenge and choreographed such a fairly tale dance for the both of us over a course of 3 lessons. She was patient, kind, and so extremely knowledgeable. Everyone loved our first dance and said they couldn't tell we took on last minute lessons :) thank you so much Tayler!!!

My wife and I worked with Tayler for our wedding first dance. We had a free introductory call with her at the beginning to let her know what we wanted to do for our dance which was to start with a slow dance, and then move to a surprise, up-beat fast song.
We decided to do 5 lessons with her over the course of about a month (all took place in Central Park) which produced 3 minutes of a choreographed dance and was a huge hit with all of our guests at the wedding. Because the lessons were outside in Central Park, there was some re-scheduling that needed to be done because of potential rain but Tayler was always flexible and accommodating in those situations.
Tayler was awesome throughout the entire process. She had a great, personable and up-beat attitude and explained all of the dance moves very comfortably. We gave her the songs we wanted to dance to, and she came up with the style and choreography entirely for us. Neither of us had a ton of dance experience so she started us with the basics and then built on top of that. At the end of every lesson, she recorded us dancing what we had learned that day so we could look back on it throughout the week while we practiced. The dancelessons were a great escape from all the craziness that's involved during wedding planning and we really enjoyed our time with her!
Last thing I'll say is to make sure to practice in between lessons! You're going to get the most out of your time with her if you show up to the next lesson with what you learned last time memorized and comfortable so you can spend time with her learning new stuff and not going over old stuff.
I would highly recommend hiring Tayler. Was well worth the money!

Tayler is such an amazing dance teacher!!
As someone who does not dance much my fiancé and I contacted Tayler to choreograph a dance for our first wedding song. She took us from learning the first step of to looking like professional dancers on our wedding dance floor.
Can’t thank Tayler enough for all of her creativity, hard work and dedication in helping my fiancé and I, not only in feeling comfortable dancing, but enjoying our first wedding song and creating something we will always remember.

I've had 3 lessons so far with Tayler. I could tell from the first I had made the right decision. I feel like I've already improved so much. She has a lot of energy and a lot of patience. She never pressures you, but she can also push you to reach your goals if that's what you want her to do. She will take it as slow or as fast as you want to go and is able to break down anything you're not understanding so everything moves smoother and easier. She is the ideal privatelesson teacher, not to mention so much fun and pleasant to be around.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The way I usually get started with my students is by doing an introductory lesson where we will discuss your goals, learn some basics, and figure out a game plan for you. After the lesson, we will go over the packages I offer. I will give you my recommendations from a teachers perspective, however, what you decide is totally up to you and no pressure!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelor's degree from USC in musical theatre. I have been trained in DVIDA syllabus for ballroom and have been a trained choreographer through multiple dance studios.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a dancer. A director saw my dancing and felt that I would do a great job as a choreographer. She gave me an opportunity and word spread that I was good. Since then it has been word of mouth. As a wedding dance choreographer, I was given an opportunity to give it a shot at an award winning studio and became their lead choreographer and manager. Since then I have been in love with choreographing first dances for weddings!
