Marcus has been my trainer for almost 4 yrs. My initial goal with him was to learn kickboxing as a beginner. During this journey, Marcus has taken me beyond any goals or aspirations I had imagined. He has expanded my learning from just kickboxing techniques to cardio and strength training. I am not a fighter; I take kickboxing lessons to learn something new. Marcus challanges me both physically and mentally. It is not just a physical workout, he also teaches me to strive to accomplish things I never knew I could do. Marcus has both the education and experience to be a great trainer. He knows how to customize learning techniques to each individuals needs. You will not just get a great workout, but you will achieve a sense of accomplishment.

Carlos cares training people to defend themselves - he always goes above and beyond in reviewing and adding in extra lessons as well. His brother Omar is also greatly is appreciated; being the guinea pig and taking the brunt of much practice from neophytes. I highly recommend this course, and plan on going through it again.

Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense is a representation of unbridled professionalism in every sense of the word. While other schools of martial arts may focus on basics, sparring, or endurance testing, Master Bob's versatile knowledge of varying styles combines to create a more extensive and practical understanding of modern self-defense, as well as a better method of learning and practicing the martial arts. With an extensive knowledge of kinesiology, Master Bombalier has the unparalleled ability to fine tune your self defense training to a personal level. Robert Bombalier's teaching style instills lessons of respect, discipline, and beneficial personal development through all aspects of life. For me, starting off with martial arts as a young child, and continuing to study the ways of self defense into young adulthood, I can certainly say that Master Bombalier's influence and guidance in my training remains impeccably beneficial. For example, an extensive amount of my training went into dealing with anxiety, controlling fear, and handling my day to day struggles with asthma, of which all I have been given the chance to manage thanks to his service. In my time with Master Bob, I have watched as people from all walks of life come together to learn how to strengthen themselves in the realms of self defense, prepare themselves in case of emergency, and most importantly better themselves in the process under the guidance and instruction of this professional martial artist. Martial arts requires key, inherent characteristics of those in participation including effort, etiquette, character, sincerity, and self-control, and no-one I have ever studied under embodies these beneficial qualities more than Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense.

Sensei Ali Jafari is an excellent martial art trainer. He has been my martial art instructor for the past twenty years during which not only I have learned karate techniques and instructions, I have also learned many life lessons from him. His patience, enthusiasm, and willing to teach are among many positive qualities that he demonstrates on a consistent basis. He is exceptionally patient with children and individuals who may not learn as quickly as other student. Sensei Jafai is is extremely knowledgeable in Shotkan Karate, Taekwondo, and using “weapons” in martial art. Sensei Jafari always brings energy and positive attitude to the class. He often finds a balance between paying attention individually to the highest ranked students as well as the lowest rank person. Sensei Jafari is very observant and cares about every individual’s progress. He is well informed about what specific and detail areas a student needs to work on in order to be successful in Karate and other areas of life.

Learning American Kenpo Karate under Rick Jeffcoat has been a complete experience. Rick Jeffcoat is adept at teaching students of many ages, backgrounds, and learning types. I find myself at awe that in one minute he can dissect and simplify techniques that I am struggling with and then the next minute challenge and enrich techniques that I thought I had felt comfortable with. He is adept at both teaching by action and by words. Best of all, I find his "what if" scenarios valuable to bring practicality to the art. The quality of life changes he's been making to the studio has also made it feel like a second home. The place is kept clean and comfortable.

I started boxing lessons with Chuck about 8 months ago. With no prior boxing or martial arts experience, I had no idea what to expect when walking into a boxing gym. I started my search online, looking at reviews and prices. Luckily, I decided to try out Classic Boxing Coach and struck gold. Although not fancy or over-the-top, the gym has all the equipment one would need (at least from what I can tell). It's never too crowded but also never lacks energy. All of the other trainers and members that I have met have been warm and welcoming, always willing to chat or share a funny story. When walking into a boxing gym for the first time ever, I expected an intimidating, intense, and cold competitive environment; yet this gym offers a hard-training atmosphere with only positive vibes and good spirits. Chuck is an amazing trainer. I think the best thing about his training is his positive and energetic attitude. He is one of those people who is always present in the moment. He puts his focus and attention onto whomever he is training. He brings in the perfect blend of mental and physical toughness. Chuck explains the sport both philosophically and technically, while still putting the athlete through hard physical workouts. The training experience at Classic Boxing Coach comes with a great balance between training and fighting. There is enough sparring to create excitement and anxiety (if one chooses to spar), but not so much that each week is an all-out fierce battle with other members. Overall, I've had an incredible experience so far at this gym. I've learned the technical aspects of boxing, had great and grueling workouts, and had some good battles in the ring. Chuck is a great coach and an even better person. He always puts the clients first. I highly recommend this gym for anyone thinking about starting boxing or switching gyms.
