Drew was supposed to correct my laptop overheating for $145. While he had the computer he called and said I had a bad hard drive. I agreed to pay for the new hard drive for $100 more. When I got the computer home the over heating was not corrected and the hard drive was okay but programs did not operate correctly. Instead of doing a clean install he did a total operating system backup and dowloaded that to an allegedly new hard drive. I told Drew that I had the over heating problem when the computer was under warranty and the mother board was replaced. The kicker is, what started off as a $145 repair job became $245 and would have been more if he replaced the mother board which should have been done to begin with. Drew credited back $100 to my credit card and has not responded to my emails regarding the problems I am having with my context file among other issues.Aug 19, 2015VerifiedComputer VooDoo's reply
After replacing the CPU cooler, Harvey's computer was tested under high stress conditions and never over-heated, but his hard drive was on the verge of failing. He received exactly what we agreed on, which included a brand new, larger hard drive. He made his evaluation based on a free third party utility that may or may not be reporting the temp accurately. Because his computer has an exact copy of his original Windows installation, so any issues he may be having existed before I touched his machine and we outside the scope of the repairs.
PC Computer Repair
Drew worked on my PC that I had managed to fry last year. I needed a new CPU, mother board, and scorched bits throughout it. He came to my house, took the computer, replaced what was broken, and for a fair price. I can't handle small parts due to a nerve condition, so having someone take care of it for me was excellent. He was very nice and returned the computer promptly, and I would definitely recommend at least giving him a go if you need computer repairs.Apr 3, 2015Verified
Drew was a fantastic resource for me when my hard drive failed on my iMac. I had him replace it with a fast SSD (solid state drive) which is a tricky installation. He did a amzing job and very quick too. I would definitely return to him for any computer needs and highly recommend him.Feb 22, 2016Verified
He made life easy for me, I am always on the run being a full time student with a full time job. He was very flexible with times. We met on Saturday morning and I had my computer back on Monday or was it Sunday... don't rememberOct 7, 2015Verified
Am very happy with service and work done. He arrived at time stated for pickup and gave it back next day. Computer works great, setup the way I asked. He made a return customer if I have a problem. Great service, on reinstall Operating System.Apr 22, 2014Verified
- What types of customers have you worked with? Many of our repairs end up being hard drive replacements which we also will do data recovery on. Hard drive failures are often not recognized for what they really are. We are data recovery experts and know how to do this right.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Make sure that your service professional will estimate the job for no charge. An estimate is just that, an estimate. An experienced professional should be able to give you a good idea of what he expects to do to resolve your issue. If they want money up front, they are just looking to make extra cash off you.
