After a nightmare experience trying to get a new 5-ton system commissioned with another company, I can say with certainty that Rudy’s ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems is better than anyone else I’ve seen in the industry. An overwhelming majority of AC companies are run by owners who never show up for an install or a service call. They often don't even bring their own diagnostic equipment to the site, choosing instead to hire out subcontractors to do the actual work. **Not Rudy, and not AC Man.** Rudy is the owner of the company, yet he is also the lead technician on the ground. David N says, "First time home buyer, 1977 build with no AC. I scheduled (3) HVAC walkthoughs/quote requests for completely new AC and Richard from Viking was the 2nd.-Richard was clearly a cut above the rest as far as professionalism, friendliness, and thoroughness/details provided. I mentioned weak vents in areas and he explained duct sizing, how we can change the way they split, volume/flow comparisons for different unit options, etc.-The quote process felt like a real consultation and not a sales pitch. Richard was focused on understanding what's important to us and educating us on stuff we werent aware of or didnt consider.-Viking's pricing was the middle of 3 quotes, but they are worth a premium. The lowest quote didnt look at the ducts at all, didnt explain how we can improve pressure/flow, didnt even mention the asbestos.-Richard was transparent on what line items were optional and where we could sacrifice to save a little, if worthwhile.-The install team were awesome (Preston, Roberto, and Trevor). Preston/Lead set expectations on the first day, then he and his team got after it. They were all super professional and knowledgeable (I believe he said they all have 9+ yrs experience). The work was extremely well done/clean and they went above/beyond proactively for several things (prioritized aesthetics over easier pipe routes/easier work, relocated stuff to better locations and patched the wall where needed, super clean mods/splits, etc).-Preston was thorough going over everything with me for each day's kickoff and wrap up. After install was complete, we checked pressure out of every vent, he showed me some basic care stuff for the system, and he walked me through the whole thermostat.10/10These guys are great and I'm very happy they ended up 1 of the 3 random HVAC spots I called."See more
