- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing structure is designed to be both straightforward and transparent. Initial requests begin with device diagnostics, which incur a flat fee of $75 for PC, MAC, and Apple devices. Network diagnostics, encompassing routers, switches, Wi-Fi, data, and phone lines, are priced at $120. Following diagnostics, an hourly rate of $120 will be applied. Any required hardware, parts, or software will be an additional cost. For large projects or installations, a detailed proposal outlining costs will be discussed on-site. Please note that there are no refunds for diagnostic fees or labor. The majority of our projects are typically completed within one to two hours, ensuring efficient and timely service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Mad River Technology, we follow a standard procedure when dealing with customers, which involves conducting a thorough diagnostic assessment of the problem they are facing. This process begins with an onsite visit to the customer's location, as it allows us to have a comprehensive understanding of the issue by assessing the entire environment. While certain diagnostics can be performed remotely, we believe that an onsite visit provides the most accurate and detailed analysis of the situation.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey in the technology industry began during my final year of high school when I joined a local computer store. Since then, I have dedicated 23 years of my professional life to the corporate IT world. However, I recently made the decision to venture into entrepreneurship and establish my own business. My aim is to offer a unique and exceptional level of IT tech support, characterized by a white glove service approach that is not commonly found in this field.
