FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a variety of packages and it really depends on what the client wants. It can be a simple set up or totally detailed and elaborate. I'm very fortunate to have collected a wide variety of equipment and also work with a separate light technician for high end lighting requirements. When I give an estimate, I base it on the initial request. There's always room to add things on once the decisions are made to what is needed. Generally, my pricing depends on the hours and equipment I need to bring.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I find out exactly what the client requires with regards to music and equipment. I inquire about the genres of music they want me to play and in addition, I request the client to give me examples of songs/artists they like so I know the best way to cater to them. Furthermore, I ask them if they want me to play songs off of a playlist they provide. All this is done via phone, email or in person. I then enter into a contract, and begin the planning process. The ultimate goal is for the client to know that they can relax on the day of and enjoy the music they love!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been DJ'ing for many years now, but when I first started I was trained by a very experienced DJ that had exceptional DJ skills and knew how to read the crowd.
