FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey into landscaping began with a passion for transforming outdoor spaces. I’ve always loved working with my hands and seeing the immediate impact of turning an overgrown yard into something beautiful and functional. After working for another landscaping company, I realized I could turn this skill into a business. I started small—just me, a truck, and basic tools—taking on residential jobs and word-of-mouth referrals. The turning point came when I invested in professional equipment. Since then, we’ve grown into a full-service company, but I still stay hands-on because creating spaces that wow clients never gets old
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my favorite landscape projects involved transforming a neglected backyard into a lush, multi-functional oasis. We installed native plantings, a dry-stacked stone retaining wall, and a meandering flagstone patio with integrated lighting. The centerpiece was a tiered water feature surrounded by ornamental grasses, which added movement and sound to the space. The design phase took about three weeks, factoring in client revisions and permit approvals. Physical work—including grading, hardscaping, and planting—was completed in just under six weeks, despite a few weather delays. Seeing the clients’ reactions when they hosted their first garden party made every hour worth it.
