Lumen Tutors provides affordable, structured, one-on-one academic tutoring for families seeking reliable and consistent educational support. We work with students enrolled in U.S.-based school curricula, offering personalized instruction designed to improve academic performance, confidence, and long-term study habits. Our standard rate is $45 per hour, with transparent pricing and clear expectations from the start. We support elementary through high school students across core academic subjects and standardized test preparation. Each session is intentionally structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to the student’s needs to ensure time is used efficiently and progress is measurable. All Lumen Tutors sessions are led by U.S.-based tutors. We do not outsource instruction overseas. Our tutors hold degrees from America’s top universities and bring strong academic credentials along with real teaching experience. They are carefully vetted for subject mastery, professionalism, and their ability to explain material clearly and effectively. While our pricing is designed to remain accessible, our standards are high. Tutors follow structured lesson plans, emphasize accountability, and adapt instruction based on student progress rather than informal or ad hoc tutoring approaches. This ensures students receive consistent, high-quality instruction aligned with U.S. academic expectations. Lumen Tutors is built for families who value consistency, preparation, and clear communication. All tutoring is conducted online, allowing for flexible scheduling while maintaining a consistent and professional learning environment. We work closely with parents and students to set expectations, track progress, and deliver dependable academic support at an accessible price point. Scheduling and Cancellation Policy To maintain affordability and fairly compensate tutors for reserved time, Lumen Tutors requires at least 24 hours’ notice for any session cancellation or rescheduling. Sessions canceled or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 100% cancellation fee, equal to the full hourly rate. Cancellations made with proper notice incur no charge.
