FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Coaching sessions are typically scheduled as one-hour conversations. Some clients come in with a specific question or decision they want to work through, while others choose to work together over several sessions as they gain clarity and build momentum around a larger transition. I offer both single sessions and short coaching packages, depending on what feels most helpful for your situation. We can discuss options during an initial conversation so you can decide what makes the most sense for you. My goal is to keep the process flexible and focused on what will actually support your progress, rather than requiring a long commitment upfront.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My work usually begins with a conversation about where you are now and what feels unclear or stuck. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Many clients begin coaching with a general sense that something needs to change but are not yet sure what direction makes the most sense. From there, we begin exploring your strengths, motivations, and priorities so we can better understand what truly fits. For many clients this includes using the CliftonStrengths assessment as a tool to identify natural patterns of thinking, feeling, and decision making. Our sessions focus on translating insight into practical next steps. That may include clarifying direction, evaluating opportunities, identifying strengths you may not be fully using, or developing a plan for moving forward. The process is thoughtful and collaborative. My role is to provide structure, perspective, and questions that help you move from reflection to meaningful action.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background combines academic training, professional experience, and strengths-based coaching. I hold a B.A. in Linguistics from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Loyola Marymount University. My graduate training focused on student development, career exploration, and the ways people navigate major educational and professional transitions. I spent many years working within colleges and universities, supporting students and professionals as they made decisions about education, career paths, and long-term goals. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how people develop direction over time and how educational experiences shape career choices. In addition to my academic background, I am a certified CliftonStrengths coach, trained to help individuals identify and intentionally apply their natural talents and strengths. This framework provides a practical way to understand patterns in how people think, make decisions, and approach their work. Together, these experiences inform my approach to coaching, which focuses on helping individuals gain clarity about what fits and translate that clarity into meaningful forward movement.
