The other day I used Thumbtack to get estimates for my 300 sq ft room. You fill out your requirements and automatically I got 2 estimates for $150! When I spoke with one of the rug cleaner company recommended on Nextdoor, I asked why so much? I mentioned that if it would take more than 45 minutes to clean the rug, I would be surprised. I expressed my dismay.
Because typically, I do the rug myself. So, when I got the $150 estimate, I was ready to do it again… myself. However, I was not sure if I could get the machine in my Honda. I called and went to Home Depot Rental Department to see if I could lift and get the machine in my car. A big shout out to Tony and his Home Depot crew who were so kind and helpful. And, it looked like I would be able to do it again myself.
When I came home, I found another written pre-estimate in my email for $55!!!! It appears that was an automatic response, so when THE EXTRACTORS confirmed my request for an estimate, he responded with $60.
WOW!
When I called and spoke with him at length, I was impressed at how efficient and professional Charlie was. I asked him if he would be willing to throw in my bedroom for $60. YES! NOT A PROBLEM.
Charlie showed up on time, explained the process, and worked hard and efficiently. The rugs look brand new!

My carpet was in pretty bad shape in some places and they made sure to point out that they might not be able to completely fix some of the stains. I knew that ahead of time, butbI really appreciated that they reviewed those spots with. They were right, but in every such case they were able to do a better job than I expected.
