- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spend pretty much all my free time researching bartending techniques, spirits, liquors, bar management techniques, cocktails, and really anything that has to do with all of these things.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My parents decided it was a cute idea for me to play bartender at the age of 15 for their New Years parties along with my 8 year old brother playing server, even though neither they nor their friends drink much. I knew I had a knack for it when people kept on coming back for more cocktails and the classy New Years party quickly turned into a wild rager. My parents no longer let me bartend their parties.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My company did a recent job serving a couple hundred people. We got slammed pretty hard all at once, but we didn't stop for a second and the line never got longer than 3 people deep.
