Here in the Lab my students and I are music makers and problem solvers. I love helping them reach their goals through efficient, tailored teaching methods, and while I commit to giving students a little push when they need it, together we are a flexible team learning to make our best, most beautiful music together.
I've spent the past 20 years making music as a soloist and chamber musician. I've performed in Carnegie Hall in NYC, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Chanel Nexus Hall in Tokyo, and many other places. What I love about being a teacher is being able to pass on the unique joy that comes with being a music maker. It's a different experience than being a listener, and it is an amazing way to deepen your appreciation for and interact with music and the other makers out there.
When we work together, you can expect to receive a well-rounded musical education. We will work on:
- cello technique
- musicality
- ear training
- music theory
- finding and exploring your unique musical creativity
Due to the inherent risks of meeting in person during the Covid-19 pandemic, I am only offering virtual lessons via Zoom.
