About
I've been teaching and performing the art of the belly dance in Istanbul and Los Angeles for over 8 years. I teach individuals and groups of all levels and workshops in private events (baby showers, birthdays, bachelorettes) and can arrange a fun recordable choreography if needed. Group classes can have a show to invite their friends and family too.
I make sure that each class is tailored right for the level of my students and everyone finishes the class with some moves in their pockets.
Seeing my students successfully pull of their choreographies is the best feeling but getting there is even more fun. Let's break a sweat and shimmy the world together.

I absolutely **LOVE** Sevgi's belly dance classes. Her instructions are easy to follow and she makes sure to give options for all levels. She has a super positive vibe and genuinely cares about each student's progress. I was afraid I'd be behind as a beginner and feel left out but I couldn't be more wrong. I leave every class with a huge smile in my face and looking forward to the next one.

Sevgi is a terrific teacher and a very impressive dancer ~ i was a bit hesitant to try belly dancing at first, but she made it super approachable and now I'm having a ton of fun
I'm still very much a beginner, but Sevgi is helping me get the basic moves down and i can definitely see myself improving ~ as a sweet bonus, each session is also an awesome workout!

Sevgi’s belly dance class was the highlight of my week for half of 2018. I am very stiff and I only signed up to her class because my cousin insisted and after the first class I stayed for her. Her positive energy and joyful attitude makes the moves look so easy but it’s a good deal of work out. She diligently explains each move, suggests tricks to make moves look bigger and always makes sure everyone is having fun and moving forward. I also miss the freestyling portion of each class. I just can’t think of anyone who’d not like to learn from her.

Sevgi knows how to entertain a crowd. I saw her perform three times and all
of the performances and costumes were unique. She is a super talented dancer moving like she has no bones in her waist plus she is very personable and funny. She has earned the heart of everyone and became the staple of our Armanian family weddings. Long live Sevgi!

The way this lovely lady runs her classes is a lot of fun. Not only she's knowledgeable about the body movements and the overall anatomy, but she's also quite friendly and personable. It's a super enjoyable learning environment. Highly recommend.
