It was a pleasure working with Raquel today... I honestly thought we would only get to the top priorities but were able to tackle the whole list with results.. She would break one bad habit and say that's done... What's next.. I have been working on these things forever.. But now, doing them the right way all the bad habits have been broken and we are working on going from a good dog to an excellent dog! (We worked on barking when people come to the door.. Interactions with groups of dogs, car anxiety, following a command the 1st time it is given, staying in the front yard, walking next to me and heeling on walks, barking when doors slam and more and all of them stopped in 2 hrs of training) I just wanted the barking when people come to the door to stop so I am thrilled with how much she was able to cover in 1 visit!

Raquel is the best! She gave me all of the tools I needed to train my new puppy in just one session. By the end of one hour my stubborn dog was sitting, staying, and walking like a champ. Don't waste your money on other classes - let Raquel teach you how to teach your dog! It's such a bonding experience. She is warm and personable and extremely helpful. I even had some negative feedback for her on a few things and she bent over BACKWARDS to adjust her style and make me happy! Money well spent. Definitely hire Raquel and you will not be dissatisfied!

Raquel was a great trainer and very professional. Before hiring her, I would encourage you to ask her any and all questions to make sure she is the right fit for you. If you think she is going to come to your house, work some magic, and your dog(s) will be perfect, then you have the wrong mindset to begin with. Training will always be a work in progress with your dogs (and you), and Raquel will teach you how to read and anticipate your dogs' behavior so you can correct it. I noticed an immediate change in my Jack Russell's attitude towards other dogs in the neighborhood when walking just by knowing the proper way to walk him on a leash. Getting him to get along with the other dog in our household is an ongoing training process, but with Raquel's help we are able to manage their situation and hopefully improve it over time.

Raquel was amazing! I have to say that my boyfriend and I were skeptical when we saw that all of her reviews had five stars (I mean how is that a thing), but we are confident saying that the stars are well earned. It is amazing how quickly our puppy has changed, and how easily Raquel taught us the techniques. We had been to other dog trainers before, but Raquel has easily surpassed them. Now we just love taking our puppy for walks and showing off her good behavior. The price did seem a little steep, but in the long term it is much less expensive than other trainers. Raquel doesn't waste any time. She started training from the moment she walked in the door. Not to mention she's very easy to get along with in general. So, if you are having some man's best friend difficulties, do yourself and your pup a favor and get a session with Raquel. Me, Joel, Lola and her new best friend James all thank her!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
MY ONE DAY INTENSIVE. HERE YOU LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THE NEEDS OF YOUR DOG, HOW THEY FUNCTION IN THE WORLD, HOW THEY THINK. WHAT THEY NEED BESIDES LOVE (THAT PART IS ALWAYS WELL TAKEN CARE OFF:) & HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM CLEARLY, SO THEY CAN EASILY OBEY.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I HAD A "JUNGLE BOOK UPBRINGING FOR THE 1ST TWO DECADES OF MY LIFE. YES, WENT TO SCHOOL ETC, BUT JUST DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF KIDS TO HANG OUT WITH AFTERWARDS, SO I HUNG OUT WITH MY GERMAN SHEPHERDS.
