Raquel was amazing! I have to say that my boyfriend and I were skeptical when we saw that all of her reviews had five stars (I mean how is that a thing), but we are confident saying that the stars are well earned. It is amazing how quickly our puppy has changed, and how easily Raquel taught us the techniques. We had been to other dog trainers before, but Raquel has easily surpassed them. Now we just love taking our puppy for walks and showing off her good behavior. The price did seem a little steep, but in the long term it is much less expensive than other trainers. Raquel doesn't waste any time. She started training from the moment she walked in the door. Not to mention she's very easy to get along with in general. So, if you are having some man's best friend difficulties, do yourself and your pup a favor and get a session with Raquel. Me, Joel, Lola and her new best friend James all thank her!

Had a great first session with Raquel. Now have a multi-generational house and the humans need more training than the dogs. Raquel was wonderful with both and we are looking forward to our next session.

I did a LOT of research on line and talking to people! We were looking for someone with experience and success. Raquel was that person. She trains not only the dog but us as well! She believes in a 1 day intensive training session. I know it sounds unbelievable but just wait! The training began as soon as she walked in. We have a 10 month old Labradoodle. "Guido" He has a ton of energy and not all good.. destructive chewing... jumping up on people... Not able to walk without extreme pulling. I thought there is no way she can help us with all this in one day, but we gave Raquel a shot. Raquel really listened to us and our concerns asking us our goals for Guido... We said a loving dog that can go on walks and plop down beside us at a cafe... too much.. I don't think so! Well this is the most amazing thing. After giving us so much information and actual working with us and Guido... our little guy was already showing great improvement!!! We went for a walk and Guido was great! Tip- take great notes or video your session! So much great information. Also with the intensive training you have life long access to Raquel via emails or phone calls or videos. On a personal note. Raquel is awesome. She has a really great vibe about her. Like a friend you have known for years. And Guido just loved her. We can not say enough about Raquel and Happy Paws Dog Training LA. Two days after we met with Raquel. Guido is not jumping up on me when I Get home from work. My husband says he is walking like a pro! And he seems to be much calmer. Do yourself a favor and hire this woman. Worth every penny!!

Raquel is the best! She gave me all of the tools I needed to train my new puppy in just one session. By the end of one hour my stubborn dog was sitting, staying, and walking like a champ. Don't waste your money on other classes - let Raquel teach you how to teach your dog! It's such a bonding experience. She is warm and personable and extremely helpful. I even had some negative feedback for her on a few things and she bent over BACKWARDS to adjust her style and make me happy! Money well spent. Definitely hire Raquel and you will not be dissatisfied!

I HAVE AN HOURLY RATE AND SOMETIMES RUN SPECIALS. I'M WILLING TO WORK WITH CLIENTS WHO WANT EXTRA CLASSES AND NEED PAYMENT PLANS.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
MY ONE DAY INTENSIVE. HERE YOU LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THE NEEDS OF YOUR DOG, HOW THEY FUNCTION IN THE WORLD, HOW THEY THINK. WHAT THEY NEED BESIDES LOVE (THAT PART IS ALWAYS WELL TAKEN CARE OFF:) & HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM CLEARLY, SO THEY CAN EASILY OBEY.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I HAD A "JUNGLE BOOK UPBRINGING FOR THE 1ST TWO DECADES OF MY LIFE. YES, WENT TO SCHOOL ETC, BUT JUST DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF KIDS TO HANG OUT WITH AFTERWARDS, SO I HUNG OUT WITH MY GERMAN SHEPHERDS. THEY BECAME MY BEST FRIENDS AND TAUGHT ME TO UNDERSTAND THEM. THEY ARE ALWAYS TEACHING US, IF YOU KNOW HOW TO LISTEN:)
