I'm a garden novice. Christy came over to survey my underutilized yard, to see what kind of potential it might have. We sat down and talked through the possibilities and prospects of converting part of the yard into a vegetable garden. My favorite part was when she asked me to list the vegetables I like to eat, and then drew a map for my new garden accordingly! By the time she left, I was armed with a blueprint for the changes, resources for further exploration, and understood the basics of how to make the most of what I have, from low- to mid-budget. I felt informed and empowered to become a fellow Gardenerd!
