Introduction: I teach acoustic and electric guitar lessons for beginning to advanced players, and I teach all styles, except classical. Lessons are tailored to each student, so you learn what you want to learn. I graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in jazz and commercial (pop) music and an emphasis in guitar performance. My rates are $30 per half hour and $50 per hour.

From the first lesson Paul was very patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about teaching me how to play the guitar. Paul makes the sessions student based, meaning he asks what types of music I like, and which songs I would like to learn so that I stay interested each time. I look forward to working with him every week, because I learn something new each time and progress! The amount of progress I have made from when we started, to where I am now is so amazing, and it feels so good to be able to do things I never thought I would be able to on the guitar. Hands down the best instructor out there, give him a shot, you wont regret it! Thanks Paul!

Paul is such a great teacher! We met and have been doing regular sessions over facetime. He has written a full teaching book with exercises and also has been able to teach me the songs of my choice. I highly recommend for anyone looking to learn guitar, even beginners!

Guitar Lessons

Paul is a great guitar teacher, I’ve learned a lot I just a few lessons. It’s also really valuable that he makes sheet music for the songs I want to learn and teaches me how to play them! Thanks Paul!

Guitar Lessons (for adults)

My lessons with Paul have been wonderful so far. I'm an adult beginner, I had had a handfull of lessons previously but nothing seemed to "click". I'm very thankful to have found such a patient teacher. I definitely feel I have progressed in my playing, and I actually enjoy playing now.

Guitar Lessons (for adults)

Been taking electric guitar lessons with Paul for a few months. Would recommend him to others: -Positive and constructive demeanor -Interested in the student -Easy to contact and flexible in scheduling -Has a basic curriculum, but is just as willing to work on specific areas or help you learn your favorite song -Solid practical knowledge of the guitar, backed up with proper music education

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $30 per half hour and $50 per hour. The student pays at the beginning of the month for all lessons in the month. If a student needs to reschedule, they need to give at least 48hrs notice in order to receive a lesson credit.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I regularly make handouts for my students instead of having my students buy books to work out of. I am in the process of making my own book from student requests. The materials cover everything from the names of the strings, to specific songs from artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Eagles, The Black Keys, Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, etc.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I attended the University of Denver where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Jazz and Commercial Music with an emphasis in guitar performance. While in school I received awards for "Recital of Distinction" (both junior and senior year) and "Outstanding Jazz Undergraduate".
