I can’t recommend Ryan enough. I came to him with a request to buildcustom, wood pet steps for my dog to be able to climb up to my bed. I was annoyingly specific, from measurements to stain color. Ryan called promptly to understand the full scope and vision and gave me every confidence he could tackle the project with ease. He provided an estimate with an hour. The estimate was precisely in the range I had expected for this type of project. He delivered the steps in two days and they were beyond my expectations. They are sturdy and beautiful. His craftsmanship is truly remarkable. Highly recommend for custombuilds, refinishing or tweaking your wood furnishings.
Incredible work from Ryan and Ari! Could not be happier with the banquette they built for my kitchen. They are hands on and really went the extra mile to make sure my girlfriend and I got exactly what we were looking for. After it was installed, i accidentally scratched the inside wall of the unit, leaving blue sheetrock dust everywhere. They came out, parched up our wall, and even repainted it with the exact coat of sky blue that I tried so hard to find for free! They even brought my favorite sour belt candies when they came back too! Highly recommend for any customfurniture or carpentry projects!

Ryan did a great job at a very reasonable price. I give him my strongest recommendation for any carpentry work you might need.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$1,500 project minimum
We specialize in premium, custom carpentry and built-ins designed for discerning homeowners seeking exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Due to the nature of our work, we are typically not able to accommodate small repairs or low-budget requests.
Our pricing reflects:
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ethically sourced, high-quality materials
• Design-forward craftsmanship
• Transparent, professional communication throughout every phase of the project
We’re a great fit for clients who value lasting quality, clean design, and expert execution.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial consultation: We talk on the phone to determine exactly what you are looking for and I give you a ballpark quote.
2. Design/Estimate: If you approve of the quote, we will schedule an on-site estimate (if need be). I will create a set of drawings and a detailed estimate of the final project. I charge $300 for a on-site estimate, a detailed quote and a drawing set.
3. Work Order: We finalize a total project cost, agree on a payment schedule and begin work.
4. Delivery: We bring your item straight to you and install it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've always loved working with my hands. I grew up apprenticing under my father who is a master carpenter and general contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from UC Berkeley, I began to apply my design and engineering skills to creating custom furniture and performing high end residential remodels throughout the Bay Area.
