We had a great dining experience with The Kookery for my mom's bday celebration. Chef Shieya went above and beyond. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and everything tasted delicious. The entire fam enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

From the planning phase to the clean up after the party, Sheiya and her Kookery team did an absolutely amazing job for my mother's 90th birthday celebration. Sheiya has a true gift and passion for cooking which was reflected in every signature dish and drink that she and her team served our guests. We had 30 guests ranging from five to 90 years of age and Sheiya was able to accommodate everyone. Everything was so delicious! We just sat back and enjoyed the party while Sheiya and her team worked their magic. Fabulous!

It’s not easy to put a special celebration into essentially a stranger’s hands but after reading her 5 star reviews and speaking to Chef Shieya I knew I made the right choice. Chef Shieya and team were a pleasure to work with. She had great ideas on the menu for a southwest bbq menu with a twist, a personalized themed cocktail bar, was very responsive throughout the entire process, and worked closely with me on menu, staffing and supplies. She communicated well, showed up as agreed, and her team were professional, hard-working and had a great vibe, plus they left the place spotless! Would recommend Chef Shieya and her company The Kookery. Thank you!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer up front pricing and packages so there will be no additional, unexpected fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial contact here on Thumbtack I will email you our current menu of all our services. Once we have menu selections I will draft a proposal/ estimate for your approval. A deposit is required to save the date! But we can still fine tune the details all the way up to a few days before the event when the balance is paid.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done everything in the kitchen from washing dishes to expediting busy restaurants and creating recipes. Worked for world renowned catering company serving events like the Oscars and more.
