Shieya was excellent!! She and her team catered a 20 person sit down dinner at my home. She created and stuck to the cocktail hour/dinner schedule. She was flexible on menu creation. The food was delicious and my kitchen was clean when she left. Shieya also brought a bartender who was excellent and made delicious custom cocktails. Her bartender was also much more reasonably priced than going through a separate bar tending service. I was not very experienced in in-home catered dinners and Shieya talked be through the whole process. My event went so smoothly and I got tons of compliments. I'd definitely use the Kookery again!!

OH MY GOODNESS WHERE TO START. I am an event planner and have hired Chef Sheiya for my events - AND WILL ONLY EVER HIRE THE KOOKERY! I don't even know how to put into words how amazing she is and The Kookery. I can't begin to describe how AMAZING she is, and her food! The flavors, complexities, QUALITY, attention to detail, presentation, creativity...not enough words! Every single guest who eats her food RAVES about it. She creates an entire experience down to the smallest detail, special orders materials to match the aesthetic, her team is amazing - a dream to work with and clearly loves her ...and she clearly loves what she does! Do yourself a favor and BOOK THE KOOKERY ! She is an absolute joy to work with and makes every single party above and beyond what it would be without her. I love you Chef!! Chef Shieya and her assistant provided a beautiful reception dinner for me and my wedding guests. The party size was 15, including myself and my husband. We had the avocado crostini as our hor dourves, the watermelon salad for our starter, the Atlantic salmon for our entree, and the crème brûlée for our dessert. The food was really flavorful and was presented beautifully. She was very willing to work with my guests with dietary restrictions and within our budget. She even provided us with her homemade BBQ, which was tasty! Would absolutely book the Kookery for my next gathering!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer up front pricing and packages so there will be no additional, unexpected fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial contact here on Thumbtack I will email you our current menu of all our services. Once we have menu selections I will draft a proposal/ estimate for your approval. A deposit is required to save the date! But we can still fine tune the details all the way up to a few days before the event when the balance is paid.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done everything in the kitchen from washing dishes to expediting busy restaurants and creating recipes. Worked for world renowned catering company serving events like the Oscars and more.
