Shieya was excellent!! She and her team catered a 20 person sit down dinner at my home. She created and stuck to the cocktail hour/dinner schedule. She was flexible on menu creation. The food was delicious and my kitchen was clean when she left.
Shieya also brought a bartender who was excellent and made delicious custom cocktails. Her bartender was also much more reasonably priced than going through a separate bar tending service.
I was not very experienced in in-home catered dinners and Shieya talked be through the whole process.
My event went so smoothly and I got tons of compliments. I'd definitely use the Kookery again!!

Chef Shieya and her team could not have been more amazing. They are your best friend if you're a DIY bride! Before the wedding, she helped us plan and adjust our menu to work within our budget, and offered advice on how to get the most bang for our buck. She came up with an incredible off-menu appetizer (savory s'mores bite!) and gave me advice about what to rent and how much alcohol to order.We had kind of a challenging venue - all outdoors, limited prep space, limited setup and breakdown time, we weren't sure if we would have running water available - and the Kookery team knocked it out of the park. If there were problems on the day, I didn't hear about them! They responded to every challenge gracefully and creatively, and they truly went above and beyond.Also, the food was AMAZING. All my guests loved the food. And they had such fun personal touches! Each signature cocktail had a little custom stamp with our initials, one on the marshmallow garnish, and the other on the ice cube.These guys were truly the MVPs of the day. I went in with a budget and a vague idea, and walked away feeling like I'd had a five-star luxury experience. We couldn't be more grateful!

Hello everyone, I had a fantastic experience at the Kookery Restaurant in Los Angeles. The food was flavorful, fresh, and served with great presentation. We were so happy and amazed by Chef Sheiya and her team. Everything they went above and beyond our expectations. Not only was the food delicious, creative, special and fit my groups needs, but Chef Sheiya and her team were personable, friendly and sweet. We would go back again in a second and highly recommend Chef Sheiya and her team for any catering event.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer up front pricing and packages so there will be no additional, unexpected fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial contact here on Thumbtack I will email you our current menu of all our services. Once we have menu selections I will draft a proposal/ estimate for your approval. A deposit is required to save the date! But we can still fine tune the details all the way up to a few days before the event when the balance is paid.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done everything in the kitchen from washing dishes to expediting busy restaurants and creating recipes.
Worked for world renowned catering company serving events like the Oscars and more.
