Introduction: Two of my biggest passions in life have always been music and ballet. I started classical ballet when I was 4 and classical piano when I was 6 years old. My love for music lead me to Berklee College of Music in Boston and my passion for ballet got me a teaching certificate.
My lessons are fun, but also very productive. I have a good understanding of children psychology, and therefore I bond very well with my students. I believe that it's very important for my students to love music or dance and get inspired and excited to learn. One of my strengths is that I have the ability to keep my students disciplined without making my lessons boring.
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2009; piano being my principle instrument as a songwriting major.
I have been teaching kids (4 - 13) piano for 6 years. My lessons are fun and I have recommendations upon request. I like starting classes playing a piece of music that will inspire my students. I go through everything necessary during my lessons and I'm very easy going and patient with my students.
Being a singer-songwriter myself; I gave adults songwriting lessons for many years both during and after graduating. My songwriting lessons are very fun and productive as I try to cover both musical songwriting and lyric writing.
I've also been doing ballet since I was 4 (I'm now 25) and had experience teaching kids' ballet in the last two years in Los Angeles. I think learning their bodies and dancing is very beneficial to kids in many ways! I create some games and stories for kids to engage in my lessons and I believe my ballet classes improve creativity, balance, control of the body, sense of rhythm and posture.
