Ryan Rowles is one of the most gifted music educators I've known. As a fellow music educator, what I admire about him is how his personal love for music translates into the values he imparts in his teaching. These include individual creativity, the joy of exploring music that may be new or unknown to the student, and how the discipline of practice is developed to achieve goals. He has worked with the spectrum of student demographics and through his career has seen how everyone can benefit from learning music. Ryan is highly recommended as a music teacher.

My 5yo and I (mother) are taking weekly piano lessons from Ryan. The reason why I hired Ryan at the beginning was because he was patient to listen to my concerns and requests, was flexible to provide the teaching style that aligned with my parenting philosophy(hand-in-hand parenting) and willing to adjust schedules with my less predictable life. He guided me through the process of acquiring a used piano and tuning it before the first lesson even happened. With his deep understanding of young children (he’s a father of 3 girls), he somehow has lengthy and fun piano time with my 5yo daughter (to my surprise) and has me hooked on playing piano as an adult student. Ryan and I have agreed-upon goals for me(short-term) and my daughter (long-term). It is very easy to communicate with Ryan that I can always express my musical ideas an thoughts. He is an experienced and professional music teacher and a great human being. My daughter and I look forward to our Sunday lessons all the time. I hope you get to experience Ryan’s musical presence as well!
