Johan is a fun teacher with a lot of patiences who is able to curtail his teaching to individual learning styles. Three years ago I began my journey to learn to play guitar with Johan as my teacher. He patiently taught me the basics, built up my confidence to free play along with other musicians, and continues to encourage and tweak my skills to reach the next level. In three years I went from no guitar exprerience to joining in in leading worship and now co-leading toddler worship at church. Grateful for a teacher like Johan who has invested in continuously building the musician in me.

I received piano lessons from Johan over the years and I’m thrilled to say I can actually play a song now! Johan has the ability to explain concepts that one can digest and apply. There are other teachers and resources out there but I’ve found that my lessons with Johan accelerated my piano playing exponentially. After many attempts to teach my 3 kids classic piano and battling over practice, i have decided to go with Johan who loves working with kids in hopes of having my children to truly enjoy music. He talks to my kids abt their music preferences, alwayz plays along with them, modifies their fav songs to make it easy for them. Now, i find my kids walking by and playing their fav songs and sings as they play!! Wonderful that they are actually using our piano without me nagging at them!
