Sarah is the best! An excellent, attentive teacher. No wasted space in lessons, and she goes at my pace! She has also recorded remotely for me as well as written extremely high quality charts! Would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome teacher, arranger or chart-writer.

Sarah is an incredible musician, with an unending enthusiasm for creating music and helping others reach their full potential. She teaches with grace, patience, and passion. As a very receptive and responsive teacher, she knows exactly how to communicate in a learning style that would suit you best. She’s as driven to help you succeed as she is to expand her own knowledge as well; the best teachers never stop learning. It’s an honor to work with her in any setting!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For all private lessons (all currently conducted remotely), my pricing is as follows: 30 mins - $35 45 mins - $50 60 mins - $65 I am currently offering a discount on class packages, and am always willing to work with customers who prefer to continue on a monthly basis: 5 class - 5% off 10 class - 10% off 20 class - 15% off For most other work, my rate is $50/hour. Clients are welcome to discuss a per-project rate if they have one in mind. Otherwise I log hours with Toggl Desktop app and share timecode receipts.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When working with a new customer, I first aim to get a clear picture of the customer's short and long-term goals. This includes asking questions about creative ideas, project references, timeframe and completion dates, etc. I cater to what will best serve each individual project. Though this can look very different depending on the project, I believe the best way to begin is with clear and open communication between myself and the client.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

After being trained classically from age 5 to 18, I studied contemporary music performance and technology at Belmont University in Nashville, where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Music in 2017. During and after school, I have had years of hands-on experience with performance, teaching, composing, arranging, and engineering that has left me well-equipped to creatively and professionally work in music.
