- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price ranges in accordance to the location that I am teaching and the amount of work that a student requires.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On the phone, while we figure the schedule we will already talk about your goals. When we first meet I will check what are your interests. Every person learns faster when the topic is something that you are interested about. During our first encounter I will check how you express yourself. Some people prefer more conversation. Others prefer to write down every new thing they learn. I will observe your rhythm, your desire to guide or be guided. Every person has a distinct personality and my specialty is to respect your personality so you feel very comfortable. I will move at your pace. After this initial evaluation I will design the class dividing the amount of new vocabulary, conversation, grammar, reading and writing according to your ability to process the information. And as I am a very informal, upbeat creative teacher, I always check if you are satisfied and if there is something else that could be improved for the next class.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a teacher I have a Certificate from the Education through Art from the Art School of Brazil. What does that mean? It means I was trained in a myriad of ways to reach a student, so I can detect when one has a block and I have a box of tricks to help a student move through any block in learning. I have taught people of all ages and all walks of life.
