Introduction: Hi, my name is Hannah Rice, and I am offering virtual lessons via Zoom to students of all ages and stages! I would describe myself as an encouraging, nurturing, and passionate teacher who strives to help each student achieve their unique musical goals. There is nothing more exciting to me than getting to be a part of those special,"break through" moments in lessons! While I believe in establishing a solid technique and foundation, I am also passionate about helping students to gain confidence in themselves and their performance ability so that they can have a life time of joy-filled music making. I am currently in graduate school at USC's Thornton School of Music pursuing a dual degree in Voice Performance and Composition. I hold Bachelor of Music Degrees in both Voice and Composition, and I have a wide range of experience in singing from opera to art song to popular music, as well as thirteen years of classical piano training. In addition, I have won numerous competitions in voice and piano, and am a published composer through Hal Leonard. I have been teaching voice for over thirty years at the collegiate level, and I consistently receive requests to teach voice lessons in my community. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $30 for 30 minute lessons, $45 for 45 minute lessons, or $60 for 60 minute lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To begin, I have a free virtual consultation with the student to asses what their goals are and what type of repertoire they would like to work on with me. During this consultation, I will also hear the student play/sing a bit to get a better idea of what they sound like and so that they can get a better idea of how I teach and what we would work on in our lessons together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in both Voice and Composition and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in music. I also have 13+ years of piano and theory training.
