ONLINE & LOS ANGELES LESSONS | Voice training rooted in science, presence, and trust. I'm Angela Gómez — vocalist, vocologist, and teaching artist, and the founder of Harmony Voice Academy. I've spent a decade working one-on-one with singers at every stage of development: complete beginners, performers navigating burnout or disconnection, and working artists preparing for the stage. ─────────────────────────────── I came to voice science through performing. I wanted to understand what was actually happening when things clicked — and why they sometimes didn't. That curiosity became the foundation of how I teach. My approach integrates evidence-based vocal pedagogy with somatic awareness and relational attunement. What that means in practice: I work with the voice as a responsive system shaped by breath, nervous system state, emotional awareness, and lived experience. Technique is taught in service of something deeper — connection to sensation, intention, and expression. Students leave lessons deeply understanding their voice, not just following instructions. I trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (BFA, Musical Theatre) and completed advanced study in voice pedagogy through the Sonaura Voice Pedagogy Program under Kristin Ruiz. My performance career spans Off-Broadway, television, and concert stages, including A.R.T./New York, Feinstein's/54 Below, The Public Theater, Calgary Theater, and The National Opera Center. I'm a member of NATS, Actor's Equity Association, and SAG-AFTRA. ─────────────────────────────── Students come to me with a wide range of goals: building a belt that feels free rather than forced, preparing audition material, working through vocal fatigue, developing range, or simply getting unstuck after years of singing the same way.
