What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated at all.
My pricing system depends on the language, scope of the document to be translated (number of words) and the subject matter (legal, financial and medical are more specialized and therefore, more expensive).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do. Whenever possible, I attend online classes and the annual ATA conference (when it is held in NYC).
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After a long unemployment stint, I had enough time to reflect on the future and what my career prospects were. Translation includes every aspect I desire in a career.
