FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Dining and small chairs ($19–49), armchairs and recliners ($59–129), loveseats ($139–199), three-seat sofas ($199–299), L-shaped sectionals ($249–399), U-shaped sectionals ($299–499), mattresses ($99–199), rugs ($1.50 per sq/ft). Visits start at $199, so most people pair a few pieces. Heavy soiling, pet accidents, and strong odors are priced once we’ve seen them. You’ll get an initial price range from photos, and we confirm the final price on site before any work starts. Free to reschedule or cancel with 24 hours’ notice.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You send photos and we reply with an initial price range. We schedule an appointment and once we are on site, we test the fabric, confirm the price, and protect your floor before cleaning. When we’re done, we reset your room, provide tips for quicker drying, and send a service record with before-and-after photos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We’re Aiden and Derrick, co-founders of Avelo Cleaning, and we do every job ourselves. Derrick spent two years as a product manager in textiles at Hedley & Bennett, learning how fabrics are made, selected, and cared for. Aiden spent three years in sales, operations and customer care at Equinox, Blue Bottle Coffee, and an in-home care provider, where the job was making a service feel calm and easy inside someone’s home. Avelo Cleaning is those two halves together: someone who knows what your fabric can take, and someone who makes sure the visit feels effortless. Every visit starts the same way. We read the cleaning code, test a hidden spot, and tell you what will and won’t come out before anything gets wet. Then we cover the floor, clean, put the room back the way we found it, and send you a service record with before-and-after photos and care notes. Send a few photos (and the cleaning tag, if you can find it) and we’ll give you a price range. The final price is confirmed on site before any work begins.
