FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We love to read, attend seminars and workshops, and network with other professionals in the field. We even will do side projects to test innovative techniques and put what we learn to practice before implementing it into our business. Photography is our passion and we always want to know that we are doing our absolute best for each client who hires our services.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The easiest way to explain what we do is to say that we photograph people. But, to us a person is a not just person. Each person has a unique style and personality and, while we can certainly capture any person or group of people with the same level of quality, we are infinitely more passionate about treasuring people's individualities than the idea of just snapping someone's photograph. Our absolute favorite clients are the ones we get to work with through the planning stages of their wedding or portrait session such that their photos are remarkably unique and special to them. Seeing our clients smile at the beauty and meaning behind their photographs is what make us smile every day. =)
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
At the risk of sounding redundant, don't judge a book by its cover. Photographers have a way of showing a few "lucky" images they snagged and not giving you the whole "picture", so-to-speak. Do what you can to meet with the photographer prior to signing anything or paying any money to make sure they are legitimately good at what they do. If you are searching for a wedding photographer, be sure to ask to see at least one full wedding so you can tell that their work is consistently good throughout all of the images. Preview prints and albums even if you don't intend to order any from them in order to make sure your photos will look good in print and to be sure that, if you do order products, you will be getting top quality. Most importantly, find a photographer who "gets" you; otherwise you might walk away not even recognizing yourself in the photos.
