Back in 2021, we started our journey of a full home remodel with EDR. The small team was great and extremely hands-on throughout the process. It took us a bit over a year to get to the demolition stage, and then a bit under a year to do the complete remodel.We took a 1959 built 1000 sqft house and turned it into a 2600 2 story house; we completely changed everything except some of the walls; all the exterior, all the interior, moved the kitchen, moved the bathrooms, moved the garage (slightly), added a second story, redid the front porch.As there always are during projects like these, there were some issues we ran into. This is where EDR shined; they took charge of every issue we ran into, and did their best to deal with everything that came up without nickel and diming us to death. If their team made an error, it was simply fixed and no charge to us. If it was something unforeseen, we worked together to minimize the expense as much as possible.I still can't believe we pulled this project off; we lived in this house for 20 years and it's always been a dream. It's been almost 2 years since completion and every time I set foot on the stairs, a part of me is still in awe that they even exist here!Thanks so much to Eddie and Sarmad for making this happen!

EDR Design Build has modeled excellence in their work with us to finish off our ADU construction. We had to ditch our first contractor who was incompetent, unreliable, and uncommunicative. EDR has been exactly the opposite of this. Sarmad is on point! He has responded within hours to all questions and concerns that we have had to get us to the finish line. Our assigned foreman, Fernando, has made sure that his team produces the finest work and always checks in with us before and after the work. Their painters, electricians, and plumbers have been extremely professional and high quality! You'd be crazy not to consider EDR for your construction needs.

They delivered on time, within budget, and with exceptional craftsmanship, even as my project scope expanded by my choice and not because anything was suggested or upsold. Their honesty, integrity, communication, and follow-through were outstanding, and I always felt like a true partner throughout the remodel. If I could give more than 5 stars in every category, I absolutely would.This was my first renovation and I was very nervous, but after researching and interviewing multiple contractors, I chose EDR Design Build for their expertise, communication style, respect for budget, and quality. They exceeded every expectation.Eddie was personable, authentic, flexible, and incredibly collaborative. He supported my evolving vision and worked seamlessly with both the vendors I wanted to use and their own excellent team. Sarmad is a true craftsman and problem-solver who was always reachable and focused on achieving the best structural and aesthetic outcome. When we discovered that part of my 100-year-old home had no foundation, he handled it calmly, strategically, and with complete integrity. He also restored my 50-year-old skylight into a beautiful, durable feature that preserved its original charm.Sarmad and Eddie treat their team and vendors with genuine respect, and the quality of work shows through in every detail. There was never a moment when we stopped by that people were not working. We worked with EDR to build an extension. We met with about half a dozen contractors before signing with EDR. We looked for a project manager who was knowledgeable and to the point. We liked Sarmad's communication style - methodical and efficient, no extra words.Sarmad was incredibly efficient at managing our project. He made sure to schedule inspections right as we reached each checkpoint in the construction, so every day was optimized. As a result, our project from demolition to completion took just about 4 months.One aspect of our project that we worked closely with Sarmad to customize was a computer server closet. Specifically, we wanted the closet to be soundproofed and have its own temperature control. Sarmad was very accommodating in our requests to have soundproofing insulation and even pointed out that QuietRock drywall would help too. We also worked with the team to have conduits installed throughout the extension for future cable runs.Throughout the process, Sarmad was responsive to our questions and our requests.
