Introduction: I have more than a decade of tutoring experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds; however, the majority of my students have been in high school.
I've helped students prepare for the following standardized tests: PSAT and SAT (classic version, 2005 redesign, and 2016 redesign), ACT, SAT subject tests (math, physics, history, writing), and AP exams (calculus, physics, statistics, history, English). I've also provided ongoing academic assistance at all levels of math, science, history, and English.
Finally, I've guided families through the college-admissions process, helping students with applications and essays. Over the past few years, my students have gone on to Berkeley, UCSD, Carnegie-Mellon, and Stanford.
I enjoy teaching a great deal. I find it immensely satisfying to see my students understand new concepts and gain confidence with challenging material.
Working with somebody one-on-one, I can really customize my approach to suit the needs of that specific individual. Moreover, I sometimes become an advisor or even a mentor to my students after working with them for a long time, which I find to be very rewarding.
