Jake was Awesome. He came to a crazy mess of wires. I thought he was going to run for the hills but he stuck it out and came back the next day and finished the job. Very professional from beginning to end. Stayed true to his quote even with all the mess. Thank you will definitely call you for future jobs.

Jake was absolutely amazing.
I have a stubborn mother who had been holding on to things she had no use for, for quite some time and I had finally managed to talk her into getting rid of them. Due to the fact that she tends to change her mind rather rapidly, I had to get someone out fast. Jake was like a superman, here to rescue me from the uphill battle I faced with the changing mind of my mother.
He took it all and he took it fast. In the process of him and his amazing, hilarious, and helpful son moving things, my mother began to relax and even got excited to have things go, so she started to add things. He did not have a problem taking the extra stuff that was not included in the original quote and he even kept the price the same even though he did not have to. He was very patient with us as we went back and fourth in the beginning on what needed to be removed and I am thankful for him.
I will definitely use him again in the future and I recommend him to anyone who needs junk/unnecessary things hauled away!

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the work Jake has done for me In the past week. I originally called because the outlets in my garage did not work and my freezer was defrosting! Jake was there to fix the problem the same day. I also asked if he would fix a light in my closet. It was fixed too! I was very impressed with Jakes professionalism and calm manner. I asked if he could replace my hideous, old box lighting in the kitchen. The result is amazing! I appreciated his advice on spacing and design. It feels like a new kitchen to me! I highly recommend Mr.Couch

If your looking for a reliable and cost efficient handyman. Jake is the person your looking for. He installed a cooktop, hood vent, and oven for me. I was completely satisfied with his work. I would definitely recommend him to any one in need of a handyman.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a $59 service call fee for all hourly jobs located in Modesto and $69 for the rest of the county. This fee Includes the first half hour on site and covers my travel expenses. The fee is waived for all calls over 6 hrs.
Most of my Skilled services are an hourly rate based on the trade/work completed.
When it comes to materials, I get discounts from my suppliers on most items wich I always pass on to my customers. I also offer military/LEO and senior discounts as well as loyalty pricing for returning customers.
No matter what the job, I always try to give the best price based on the customers needs.
I work hard to offer quality service at a competitive price so if you do happen to get a lower written estimate just let me know and I'll do my best to beat it!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will first make contact with the customer and answer any questions or concerns that they may have. Once I understand what their needs and project goals are then I am able to provide them with a detailed estimate of the scope of the work to be completed. If the customer is pleased with the estimate then we move to scheduling biased on the customers needs. Once the job is done to the clients satisfaction then I provide a detailed invoice of the work completed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 15yrs experience in the trade industry doing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating & air conditioning, welding, metal work & custom fabrication, concrete & masonry, landscaping & irrigation design, pool & spa repair and all types of general building maintenance.
