- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in photography as a young girl about 12. I was very shy, and loved being behind the camera my aunts were photographers and I was inspired by their work. I bought my first camera and lens and haven’t looked back. I love when someone tells me they are shy or not photogenic. I make it my mission to make them feel beautiful.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Best advice is to hire someone who knows the area, someone who understands light. Also someone with the photography style you prefer. Be careful trusting your priceless memories to someone who is just learning, or a friend of the family with a camera because it’s cheap. I get emails all the time with brides wanting me to redo their wedding images because they were unhappy with what they received.
