FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Of course! All things digital are constantly upgrading and changing, social media and trends in photography are constantly changing as well. We like to keep up on the things that are important to our clients.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Book your photographer early! It will give you time to really know what you are looking for and find a photographer you like and who's photography style matches your individual tastes. When you wait you may become limited to who is available. Make sure who you choose is a registered business, has reviews or recommendations they can show you, and has legitimate business insurance. This will show you the person is dedicated and professional. Also be sure to never pay in cash- pay with a check or credit card that way the cashed check or card charge is your receipt.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The hours that go into it. Most people think you shoot a 5 hour wedding and so you made X amount of money per hour. That is not true what so ever! I spend about 80-100 hours retouching and skin smoothing all of the shots from each wedding. About 20 hours custom designing an album if it is purchased or in their package. I also have the outgoing costs of business insurance, licensing, taxes, equipment costs and out of pocket costs for each wedding (including paying all my hired help). I completely understand why people feel this way, I felt this way myself before I knew what went into it. The pictures do not come out of the camera like that on their own! Trust me!
