A puppy's first few weeks in her new home is a critical learning period for both dog and owners - we wasted no time to ask for professional, tailored advice. Nu Pawspective came to our rescue on short notice with multiple options and a flexible schedule. After one consultation with Susan, we gained lifelong dog-parenting skills and a sense of confidence which have transformed the way we bond with our puppy. For us, studying how-to/success story/videos featuring other dogs was good, but not efficient. One focused, quality consultation with Susan enabled us to streamline the way we balance playtime and training, the way we reward and praise our puppy - we have gained back precious time which would have been wasted to trial and error. Susan will learn about your puppy and generously guide you on things that work. We were lucky to find her and will continue to rely on her mentorship as our puppy matures.

My puppy Minnie gets excited even hearing Susan's voice on the phone, she loves her so much. It's also amazing knowing she has an exhausting afternoon and I don't have to worry about drop off or pickup. And on top of all that Susan is always willing to help - on the phone or in person - with various training issues Minnie is having. I couldn't manage Minnie without her!!

Susan was excellent with our new puppy. She gave us lots of information about caring for a puppy and she also gave Bella, our puppy, lots a treats. I’d highly recommend her!

As a first time pet parent, it is important to find the right trainer and I’m glad that I found Susan. Susan is a fantastic trainer. I hired her for 1:1 training my puppy yorkie and during the multiple sessions we have had, she is professional, kind, patient and fantastic with my puppy. She treats dogs with care and just as you would treat your babies. Highly recommend! Thanks Susan!

Our labradoodle has been with Susan since he was a puppy (now 2.5) and he loves it! He gets so excited when Susan picks him up knowing he will get to play with his friends. He often sits looking at the door about the time he gets picked up in anticipation of the fun he will have. My husband and I both work fulltime so working with Susan provides us with tremendous flexibility. We know our dog is getting exercise and socializing with other dogs every single day. He returns home tired and happy. When our labradoodle was just a puppy Susan also did a tremendous job helping to train him. We went to classes with him, but Susan worked on many tricks (sit, stay, take it, leave it, etc.) with him, which helped reinforce what he was learning in class and at home. I highly recommend Susan for any age dog.

    I always participate in numerous seminars hosted by reputable organizations and industry leaders through out the year. Beside seminars, I am always looking to further my training abilities by participating in rigorous continue education.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Ask as many questions as you would asking your child's teacher. Dog trainers come from various background. Not only it's important to find a competent trainer, it's also essential to find one who trains in a humane way.
