Five star with regards to timing and price! Completed painting a rental unit and texture work on my bathroom reno. Sub par on follow up, communication and rework often required. It pains me to write this but only go with this company if you have a lot of free time to follow up with rework and if you don't have a timeline.

Hired him to do some basic repairs in the rental unit and replace carpet with laminate in the living room. Why he is a friendly guy ready to do pretty much whatever you ask, the quality of work, communication skills and level of responsibility are below my expectations. He was "finishing everything" at least 4 times leaving a lot of stuff not done and promising to come back and finish everything tomorrow. The first time when he "finished" the laminate there were many spots where laminate was popping out cracking. He tried to fix it by cutting popped out laminate and stuffing holes with silicon and finally ended up buying extra pack of laminate and re-doing the floor.
The most annoying problem started when I paid for everything and discovered that 2 power outlets have been left not working and many other outlets became lose once tenants started using them. It's been more then 2 weeks me chasing him and getting promises to stop by and finish the repairs and today I gave up and started looking for someone else to finish it.
On a positive side he is a very friendly guy, ready to do whatever you ask him and some stuff has been done with OK quality.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Letting them know my experience and background. Assuring them that I am trustworthy (example: I have worked in half a million dollar homes and was left alone to do my job). I pay close attention to their needs and their ideas. I also give my customers the option of either them OR me to purchase the material for the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was self taught doing hands on training. I read a lot of books and did a lot of research. I am also a member of the Handyman Association.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started this trade in painting and I loved it. My customers questioned me if I could do other projects and I started to learn every thing I needed to know to do the best I can to compete and succeed..
