As a young couple, we were unsure about our future and if we would be able to accomplish a healthy platform for our relationship to stand on. We began seeking out therapists and found Elena. She has been helping us tremendously. She taught us about love and respect in the right way, how to give each other our best versions of ourselves, how to regulate how we talk to each other, and more. Elena has been incredibly helpful in teaching my husband and I how to communicate with each other. We are currently five sessions in and have seen improvement since the first meeting. As with anything though, it is up to us as a couple to put the lessons and information given to is into practice and make it a part of our routine. Having her as an educated third party in the relationship has taught us how to talk through things respectfully and not just in the heat of the moment. I’m glad that we decided to reach out to her because it’s been very healthy for us to look at our relationship through a different lens. Also, a side note, there can be some stigma associated with seeking out marriage counseling. There should not be. When I mentioned to my friends and coworkers that my husband and I were seeking counseling, the responses varied from, “Uh oh, is everything okay?” to, “Oof, that sounds like a lot of work.” I tell them that yes, it’s a time commitment, but I also tell them that I think anyone who is planning to marry or may already be married, will benefit from learning how to successfully navigate a long term relationship. The tools we’ve picked up along the way are helping us in all other realms of our life as well. With Elena it’s more than relationship counseling, it’s learning how to improve all aspects of your life, beginning with you.

We were at a very difficult place to before coming to the Elena. We could not communicate with each other without starting to argue, often reaching a stand still. The very ways we tried to communicate we’re making communication impossible. Committing to seeing a Couples coach was the best first step. And just seeing Elena weekly kept us both focussed on continually growing a better relationship. The tools Elena gave us, (our morning greeting, hugs throughout the day and working towards cuddling time) all helped us come together through little steps. The book Elena had us read “Men are from Mars Women are from Venus” was eye opening for me. I was always trying to solve each problem My GF was telling me about. When all she really needed was for me to hear her out. Our communication and commitment to improving our communication has been incredible and seeing Elena for these few months has improved and actually saved the joy in our relationship.

When we met Elena my wife and I were trying to figure out what, I suppose, many couples who’ve been married for 20+ years are trying to figure out: What happened to the flame? Why aren’t we communicating like we used to? How can we get that back? Am I going to keep doing this for another 20 years? Elena helped us in three major ways: #1) She asked us to stop and think about our relationship and make it important. As two “type-A” personalities we always had time for career, kids, and friends, but didn’t apply that same energy and thought to our relationship. But that was just the start. #2) Elena listened to our positions and then asked us insightful questions and pushed us for answers, even when it got uncomfortable. We had to answer those questions in front of eachother and nobody was able to leave the room. I can’t tell you how many times I answered questions expecting a response from Elena or my wife, and got a different or sometimes opposite response than I expected. Those moments were GOLD and really led me down a path of my own personal awareness that, at age 53, I though I had down pat. Which leads me to #3 – which was more about me. I’ll admit I had some pretty firm ideas about who I was and “who’s fault it was.” I can truly say that I re-evaluated some of those ideas and saw my contribution to the problem due to several conversations I had with Elena outside the couple’s conversations. Those conversations led to real change that have impacted both my personal and professional life. I’m kind of a “typical guy” in that I don’t talk about myself or my feelings much, if ever. Like most guys, I talked to my wife about that stuff, but what do you do when your wife is part of the problem? Elena transcended the role of counselor and became a friend, albeit a friend who knew what I was really thinking. I think that’s rare.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer free 15-20 min consultation, no obligations. The advice or exercises that you will be given during this session is for you to keep, anyway, if we work together or not. After your first session I will offer you customized package deal prices to meet your needs. I accept payment through PayPal, Zelle, CashApp, or Venmo. I also take credit card payments over the phone using Square. (Using Zelle and Venmo allows you to skip a processing fee.)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This description applies to both in office and online services. We can meet either in my office in Newport, CA or have a session over the phone or Zoom. The sessions have the same structure. I will conduct follow-ups on your progress, your current situation, or any positive or negative issues that may arise. I may ask about your goals for a particular session. We will explore next steps and you will eventually chose practice exercises. You will also have the opportunity to communicate with me through the email between sessions if you feel it would support your progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree from Krasnodarskiy University of Culture, Russia where I studied music, psychology and sociology. I am Certified Professional Life Coach and Certified Professional Intuitive Coach Numerologist. I'm a certified yoga instructor and practice techniques daily. Yoga and meditation are essential parts of my every day routine. I have studied with numerous spiritual teachers and gurus for more than 29 years, including Sai-Maa Lakshmi Devi, guru/spiritual master, healer, humanitarian; Master Sha, Tai Chi, energy healer, Tai Chi and Qigong Master, Tony Robbins, well-known public figure, speaker and coach, and many, many more..I am also a certified Rei-Ki and Tai-Chi practitioner and believe being a better human is keeping your health in good condition. Previous to my focus on coaching, I was a small business owner of a bilingual child care for more than 14 years, and specialized in developing my intuition and Spiritual Numerology. I consider myself a student of life because I never stop learning.
