- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a former health food bistro owner and later working at the Ritz Carlton has given me great training. I was trained by the best in the business and I am always attending classes, workshops and webinars that help me to finesse my cooking style and methods. I attend professional courses, do a lot of research, sourcing and creative idea collecting so that I am prepared to help my clients meet their entertaining goals or dietary concerns.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I owned a small health food bistro in a private gym in Old Town Pasadena years ago that started me on this path. I waitressed throughout college and have been educated and trained by the best in the culinary arts and catering business. As an entrepreneur, I like the control I have over my time, but most of all, I get to work at something that I truly love.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I strive to achieve good results throughout the process of working with my clients. Sourcing quality ingredients, developing creative or simple menu plans, providing impeccable service, good communication and follow-up is important to me so that everyone walks away with a smile. This helps me to forge good relationships with my clientele, and in turn much of my business comes from referrals and repeat business!
