Back to Basics Basketball is an excellent basketball tutoring program designed to elevate the player’s IQ and skill. This program helped my son to become a better overall basketball player. Coach Bowie is great at developing his player’s to succeed both on and off the court. I strongly recommend Back to Basics Basketball!Jun 11, 2018Back To Basics Basketball's reply
Thank You Vince!
Coach Michael Bowie helped our son gain confidence and understanding of the team sport of Basketball. He had fun and became excited about his performance on the court week-by-week. Thank you Coach.Jun 11, 2018Back To Basics Basketball's reply

The tutoring session has helped fine tune the fundamentals which shows in the increased shooting percentage. Also I value the feedback Coach provides for the individual.Jun 13, 2018Back To Basics Basketball's reply
In less than 4 weeks, we see a good progress and lot of confidence build up in our son. Coach Michael teaching style in addition to calm and composed nature keeps kids in discipline and motivates them in the right direction. Overall we are very much satisfied!!Jun 11, 2018Back To Basics Basketball's reply
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to keep my price competitive by charging by the minute with a 30 minute minimum. I have found the customers can wrap their minds around $1.00 a minute with 30 minute minimum. The amount includes the travel time and gas. For customers further out in the BayArea, for example San Jose, the pricing would be more. I do not meet with customers at their home. However, I meet most commonly at an open schoolyard/park of their choice.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1) Ask What is the customer trying to accomplish. 2) Give a brief history and introduction of the service the customer should expect. 3) Stretching Drills along with the customer and explanation of each drill for preventive injury. 4) Various drills that will help the customer streamline closer to THIER particular goal(s). 5) Discuss Nutrition and Health tips. 6) Recap what we have learned that particular day. 7) Go over the small things that they can do on their own to maximize our next session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My Resume/CV is packed with both on and off the court experience. It dates back from the play grounds and schoolyards, to organized basketball at St. Ignatius College Preparatory, 4 year scholarship at Boston College, to Professionally . This includes Internationally in Argentina and Europe. After returning from Europe. I started teaching and playing in the Pro-Am Leagues in the BayArea.
