Since I arrived in the United States, I've been going to school everyday to improve my English. Speaking and understand (listening) are essential in my job. As a makeup artist I am always updating my skills by taking classes and attending workshops. Recently with the World Known Javier de La Rosa and also at Kryolan San Francisco. I believe this is the foundation to maintaining "excellence" as a professional.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a professional dancer, I became aware of beauty very early on. Stage makeup was the only form I knew for a long time. A few years ago i got injured. i didn't dance for two years. During that time i went to a Makeup Artist School. The owner, a wonderful person (my first teacher and then my boss and mentor), had her own company and a team of makeup artists and hairdressers. It was during this time I fell in love with the profession. It was so transforming that I decided to dedicate 100% of my efforts to being a makeup artist.
